Sticky date at a dumpling place
///UPDATE 2024/12/01: ///
We had been lucky enough to receive funding from StartUp Lithuania and participate in the Game Tech Accelerator programme in order to continue this project. We will further expand the story, adding more dates and mediocrity.
We will reframe the project so the Cook is the one who is crashing the dates, hired by a devilish Hinder agent.
You will get to explore the Cook’s story too, in addition to even more horrendous dates; so stay tuned!

///ABOUT: ///
This interactive comic/narrative game is based on a dumpling bar in Copenhagen where we both had worked as solo cooks, usually dealing with an incredibly stressful or incredibly boring work environment and precarious working conditions.
The idea for this game came about when we both were still working there, also using it as a nice backdrop for some awkward first time dates we had observed whilst serving dumplings. It’s also a nice tongue in cheek way to look at the dating habits of our generation and play with some over the top characters and personality traits which we also posses.
So sit down at the grease covered tables, order a bowl of dumplings and experience a total miscommunication between two people; there are no right answers. Enjoy! </3

nice. love the whole interface, especially moving between all the alternative realities when going from one part of the conversation to the next.
I tried making Lorenzo say more... chill things, but he kept being insufferable. I'm sorry you got chilli in your eyes.
thank you Victor </3 Lorenzo is not made to be chill, and he is definitely not aware of it.
great conversation :) loved this!
thank you for playing, hope it was cringy! xD
Nice drawings, nice writing, nice flow <3
Thanks for playing <3
Favorite part still is the moment of misery of the working person + random drunk person outside 🤌
We based so much of it on actual anecdotes from the workplace, our former colleagues found it hilarious xD
