Sticky date at a dumpling place

Sticky Date is part of the GameTech Acceleration Program, an EU-funded initiative that supports indie developers through mentorship, networking, and resources. During the acceleration period, aided by the provided funds and guidance, we successfully developed the first prototype of the game.

The updates that we were able to make with the help of the program:

- Finished a prototype
-Further expanded the story, adding more scenes and an extra date
-Reframed the game from the Cook point of view (he's now a date crasher for hire!)
-New narrative systems and improved gameplay, so it feels that player choices matter.

This interactive comic/narrative game is based on a dumpling bar in Copenhagen where we both had worked as solo cooks, usually dealing with an incredibly stressful or incredibly boring work environment and precarious working conditions.

The idea for this game came about when we both were still working there, also using it as a nice backdrop for some awkward first time dates we had observed whilst serving dumplings. It’s also a nice tongue in cheek way to look at the dating habits of our generation and play with some over the top characters and personality traits which we also posses.

So sit down at the grease covered tables, order a bowl of dumplings and experience a total miscommunication between two people; there are no right answers. Enjoy! </3
